The Chiquita Canyon Landfill received another notice of violation for draining storm runoff water into the Santa Clara River and possibly the groundwater supply. 

In sports, the Saugus baseball team won two Foothill League games and have a four-game winning streak. The Saugus softball team won three games, including a huge blowout win over West Ranch.
